Martin Butler Research provides business and IT managers with crucial information on the benefits and risks associated information technology. We publish this research in the form of reports that are free to download, and briefings. Our research covers a diverse set of technologies: some of them very new, niche technologies and of course mainstream offerings. This ensures that technologies with significant potential benefits are highlighted just as much asĀ more established technologies.
We also research issues surrounding the strategic use of information technology, and this material is presented at our ‘workshop’ series of seminars.
Our style is concise, candid and to the point. The reports we produce are rarely longer than twenty or thirty pages. As far as possible we like to communicate in plain English and avoid unnecessary jargon – it rarely adds any value.
Martin Butler is best known as founder of Butler Group, which went on to become the largest analyst company in Europe. He now publishes through Martin Butler Research and concentrates on the formal methods used in our Strategy research offerings.
